In love with Autumn

Every year, when the cool winds, the flowing leaves, the smell of wood burning stoves, the gentle rains, and beautiful foliage turns colors I remember why I’m in love with Autumn.

I love the inward spiral, the cosiness, the desire to create and nourish. The work of preparing and nest for the Winter comes from a deep place within.

Snatch Proof Booties

Knitting a familiar pattern that Judy LeComte used to knit for all the babies, sometimes several for the baby to grow into. She knit them for babies she knew and babies at the hospitals. During her memorial service in a room filled with sweaters she had knit for all her friends children, was a present to take home with us, this pattern. I have knitted lots since then, which is over 12 years ago.
